The builder, Stan Munro, who works at the Museum of Science and Technology in Syracuse, New York, took 6 years to build the replicas.

He used 6 million toothpicks and 170 liters of glue. It took as long as 6 months to build some of the scaled-down buildings, and each creation was built to 1:164 scale.
