While many people today consider The Bible to be a book of mere myths, legends, and nonsense, yet the fact remains that it contains some really pithy, thought-provoking, wise and witty comments and observations.
For example, according to the Old Testament book of Ecclesiastes -- [the book's authorship is attributed to Solomon, the wise king of Israel]: ". . .The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left. . ." ~ [Ecclesiastes 10:2, NIV]
And in the New Testament's Gospel of St. Matthew, Jesus Christ referred to the goats [i.e., the bad/evil] as being on the left, while the sheep [i.e., the good/righteous] as being on the right. ~ [Matthew 25:33]
Also, interestingly, according to the New Testament's Gospel of St. John [chapter 21, verses 2-6]: after a whole night of fishing with the fishing net on the left side of the boat and catching absolutely nothing, Jesus Christ instructed the disciples to cast their fishing net to the right side of their boat. When they did, the disciples were almost unable to haul in the catch because of the enormous amount of fish caught in the fishing net. –Contributed by Ralph
