This combo photograph shows the different stages of the total solar eclipse as seen from two locations on the outskirts of Gauhati, India, Wednesday, July 22, 2009. The first two photographs were shot from Sipajhar, 50 kilometers (31 miles) north of Gauhati and the rest were shot from Baihata, 35 kilometers (22 miles) west of Gauhati. Millions of Asians turned their eyes skyward Wednesday as dawn suddenly turned to darkness across the continent in the longest total solar eclipse this century will see. –AP
