The Fingerprint, The Snowflake...

 By Pastor Bobby Schuller

"Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life." -Proverbs 13:2

The Apostle Paul, who suffered greatly for the cause of Christ, would say that no matter how hard life gets, we have the love of God deep inside and no one can take that from us.

We're God's beloved. Our lives matters in God's plan. I know it may sound cliché, but it's the fingerprint, the snowflake, all things that are so uniquely designed by God. It shows how God values and treasures each one of us, that our lives matter, and that God has a plan for each one of our lives.

This plan doesn't involve just you; it involves other people, too. If you throw away tomorrow, if you give up, if you quit, if you check out, you will never know what that plan and that fullness for your life would have been. You must endure the suffering, the struggle, the loss, the loneliness, to know what your life will be. That's the hope we're given by a God who loves us so.

Prayer: Dear Lord, even when times get tough, I am assured by your word and my faith in your love for me that you have a meaningful future pre-prepared for my life. All I have to do is to trust in you and carry on. Amen.

Reflection: When life gets tough, is there a dream for the future that gives you hope? -Hour of Power
