Tony Perkins Responds To Josh Duggar News

Josh Duggar, embroiled in a forcible sexual molestation case from his past as a teenager, resigns from FRC. What does Tony Perkins have to say about it?

After less than two years, Josh Duggar resigned as the executive director of Family Research Council Action, the political arm of the anti-gay hate group Family Research Council.

In Touch magazine published a 33-page police report from when Duggar was a teen, that allegedly shows he sexually molested five girls, including family members, multiple times, including forcibly.

The media storm was too much to control, and Duggar has acknowledged his past actions, apologized, and resigned.

Here's how FRC president Tony Perkins addressed the issue today:

"Today Josh Duggar made the decision to resign his position as a result of previously unknown information becoming public concerning events that occurred during his teenage years.

"Josh believes that the situation will make it difficult for him to be effective in his current work.  We believe this is the best decision for Josh and his family at this time.  We will be praying for everyone involved," concluded Perkins.

That's it.
