Interesting Stats

According to the U.S. government's Center for Disease Control, next to coronary heart disease and cancer, the biggest killers of U.S. citizens annually are:

Tobacco abuse 529,000
Medical errors 195,000
Unintentional injuries 118,021
Alcohol abuse 107,400
Motor vehicle accidents 34,485
Unintentional poisoning 31,758
Drug abuse 25,500
Unintentional falls 24,792
Non-firearm homicides 16,799

DID YOU KNOW THAT, based on the above CDC figures:

  • 1,449 Americans per day die from tobacco abuse?
  • 294 Americans per day die from alcohol abuse?
Plus, another . . .
  • 94 Americans per day die from auto accidents? - and -
  • 67 Americans per day die from drug abuse?
That is a total of 1,904 Americans per day who die from causes NOT related to guns, but the nation's leaders and the American public think little of it, (if at all).

Yet, just because some demented 20-year-old social misfit gun-downed and killed 26 people in a small, predominantly white community in Connecticut, the nation's leaders and anti-gun activists are suddenly raising hell. What for?

Finally, DID YOU KNOW THAT, the death rate due to firearms-/gun-related homicides in the USA is 11,372 annually or 31 deaths per day, and they are mainly gang- and/or drug traffic-related? -Source/Author Unknown
