The traffic light just in front of him turned yellow. He did the right thing by stopping at the crosswalk, even though he could have beaten the red light by accelerating and crossing the intersection.
The tailgating woman immediately behind him was furious. She honked her horn, screamed in frustration, as she missed her chance to get through the intersection. Her cell phone and make-up kit slid off the seat and down to the floor, when she slammed on her brakes to avoid rear-ending the car in front.
As she was still in mid-rant, she heard a tap on the partially open passenger window, and when she looked at who was tapping, she saw the face of a police officer.
The officer ordered her to get out of her car, and put both her hands up. He then took her to the police station where she was searched, fingerprinted, photographed and placed in a holding cell.
After a couple of hours, another policeman approached the cell and who opened the cell door. She was escorted back to the booking desk where the arresting officer waited with her personal effects.
The police officer said, ''I'm very sorry for this mistake. You see, I was right behind your car when you slammed on your brakes, repeatedly and angrily blew your car horn, flipped off the guy in front of you, and you appeared to be cussing a blue streak at him. So, when I noticed the car bumper stickers that said: 'What Would Jesus Do' and 'Follow Me to Sunday-School'; the Choose Life license plate, and the chrome-plated Christian fish emblem on the trunk, naturally, I wondered if you had stolen the car.''
