"I lift up my eyes to the hills-where does my help come from?" -Psalm 121:1
Have you ever set off on a hike and wondered what was just around the corner? What challenges lay ahead? Will I be strong enough? Will the path be easy to follow? Will anybody help me if I get lost? These questions are similar to ones we ask about the journey of life. And the answer to every question is this: "My help comes from the Lord" (Psalm 121:2). When we seekhelp with any challenge, there is no other true source of help than the One who made heaven and earth. As each need arises, only God provides the help we seek!
Prayer: Thank you, Heavenly Father, for your guidance each step of the way. I am overwhelmed by your presence and love as you lead me through life...showing me my purpose...keeping me safe. Amen.
Reflection: Take time to "look to the hills," remembering that God is there...and everywhere...to help you through the ups and downs of life. What is the greatest need you have? Ask for God's help today! -Hour of Power
