Wise Words

One day, a Christian clergyman carrying a Bible was walking through a village, when a young man approached him, began insulting him, and rudely yelled at him: "You have no right teaching others. You are as stupid as everyone else. You are nothing but a fake."

The clergy just smiled and asked the young man: "Tell me, if you buy someone a gift and that person does not accept it, to whom does the gift belong?"
The young man, surprised to be asked such a strange question, answered, "To me, of course, because I bought it."

The clergy smiled again and said, "You're absolutely correct. And it is exactly the same with your anger. If you become angry with me and I do not get insulted, then the anger falls back on you. You are then the only one who becomes unhappy, not me. All you have done is hurt yourself. If you want to stop hurting yourself, you must get rid of your anger and become loving instead. When you despise and hate others, you yourself become unhappy. But when you love others, you and everyone else become happy."

After hearing the wise words, the young man said: "You know, you've got a good point. Please teach me the path of love. I would like to become like you."

The Christian answered kindly, "Certainly! I am more than willing help anyone who truly wants to learn how to love the way Christ loves you and me. Come with me."

~ More Wise Words ~

If you are right, you have no need to get angry; if you are wrong, you have no right to get angry.

Do not worry about the future because it will only bring you anxiety and unfounded fears.

Do not dwell on the past, especially its errors and mishaps because they will only bring you more heartache and tears. Instead, live the present moment with a smile because it will bring you cheer.

Every problem in life either breaks or makes you. Every test in life either makes you better or bitter. The choice is yours to either be the victim or the victor!

It is wiser to prefer a good heart over a beautiful face. Beauty is merely on the eyes of the beholder; beautiful things may not always be good, but good things will always be beautiful.

The reason why God created gaps between your fingers is so that someone special to you can fill those gaps by holding your hands.

Finally … keep a genuine friend like a pressed flower … a true friend may not always have the fragrance, but he/she will always remind you of God's goodness and love in your life.
