In America, religious freedom is a cherished right, even for our American Muslims. However, I do have a problem with the building of a Mosque near and around ground zero. And I firmly believe that the Muslim community should be a bit more sensitive to this venture and look elsewhere to build their place of worship.
Building a Masque near or around ground zero is more of a in your face venture and I find this act insulting, not only to those who perished and their survivors, but to the rest of us who carried their crosses on our shoulders. If the Muslim community wants our respect then this respect should be a two way street. It’s time to stop using “Religion” for personal interest, gain, power and dominance.
